Leander was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. At an early age, began to discover his artistic talents, as he grew up singing in his mother's church. But what influenced him the most was music, so quickly desired to get into the field. He taught himself to play the guitar, bass, percussion's, drums, and the piano. He later learned how to write and compose songs. He joined with several bands in Detroit, later in life, including the Touch, and the Serious Business Band, where they performed locally. Leander was mainly the keyboard player, and back up singer. By 1990 he left Detroit for Lansing, still performing, around the mid-Michigan area. With a different approach, he began writing songs, and going in and out of the studio to record. By 1999, he owned his own record label, Simple Pleasure Records, and he completed a 14-song demo CD. The first record company that he sent it to was Outstanding records of Huntington Beach CA. Earl Beecher the Record Producer fairly enjoyed it, and sent him a record contract. And the CD (the Hour of Love) has been released in the stores locally in the Michigan area, and he has been seen on TV numerous times. Leander since then has been performing in the Mid-Michigan area, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Arizona, Oregon. His music has been playing in England, Australia and Africa. He has released 6 Cd's, to his credit. He has Since then formed the Test of time and continues to perform in the Michigan Area.
